Meet Rob
I’ve spent over 25 years in digital marketing and nearly two decades teaching it at the college level. I’ve also worked with small business clients on everything from blog posts to big-picture strategy.
But here’s the thing: my real strength isn’t just knowing the stuff — it’s cutting through the noise. Students and business owners tell me I have a knack for taking complicated ideas and making them simple enough to actually use.
AI is no different. I don’t want you memorizing jargon or chasing the latest shiny tool. I want you to walk away knowing exactly what works for your business.
I don’t just explain AI. I translate it into plain English so business owners can stop feeling overwhelmed and actually put it to use

Experience Is Your AI Superpower
The secret isn't the tool. It's the wisdom you bring to it.
When it comes to artificial inteligence, there are a lot of misconceptions.
- That it’s complicated and hard to learn.
- That you have to be a “prompt engineer” to really get good results.
- That it’s good for improving an email, but too unreliable for anything important.
- That it gives bad answers so frequently that it’s not really beneficial.
- That you might be “too old” to learn how to use it.
- That the AI robot overlords will eventually take over the world.
While I can’t categorically refute the last possibility, I can show you why the others aren’t true.
Don’t miss out on the opportunity to learn how AI can help you do everything from analyzing a business idea to automating social media posts, brainstorming marketing ideas, and yes, perfecting your emails.
Why I Believe Experience Is Your Superpower in the 'Age of AI'
Artificial intelligence is sometimes viewed as tech that’s built for younger people, but the reality is quite the opposite. Experience matters when it comes to AI, in everything from knowing how to communicate what you really need to discerning if the output is great, good, or flat-out useless.
I’ve seen this firsthand, watching brilliant young students struggle to know if the answers they got are correct, where an older person with more experience might know at a glance.
Don’t let your age trick you into sitting on the sidelines. AI isn’t replacing your experience. It demands it.
Why I Do This
Encore entrepreneurs — people starting or growing businesses later in life — are my people. I believe they have a huge advantage: real-world experience, judgment, and resilience. The challenge is that all the hype and noise around AI makes it feel like a young person’s game.
My mission is to prove otherwise. AI is a tool that anyone can learn to use effectively. When you combine it with the wisdom you already have, the results can be powerful.
Where You'll Find Me
If I’m not coaching, speaking, or writing, you’ll probably find me knee-deep in some new AI tool– testing whether it’s gold or garbage. You can also find me:
Writing about AI and entrepreneurship on Substack and LinkedIn.
Contributing to the Hearst Bay Area marketing blog.
Speaking at events for organizations like the National Entrepreneur Center, Winter Park Business Association, Leadership Winter Park, and entrepreneur groups.
If you’re curious, skeptical, or just tired of being told you’re “too old” for this stuff, I’d love to talk.
